You knew it was going to happen, or at least show up in the rumor mill. Word on the street (actually Billboard Magazine) is Haitian-born Wyclef Jean will be running for President of his home turf.
His family gave the media the following statement:
”Wyclef’s commitment to his homeland and its youth is boundless, and he will remain its greatest supporter regardless of whether he is part of the government moving forward … If and when a decision is made, media will be alerted immediately.”
According to Wyclef himself, he doesn’t have political intentions but would like to encourage the youth population of Haiti to vote.
