Setting up stages can be dangerous.
Three workers setting up a stage for an Elton John concert at Mexico’s Chichen Itza were injured Wednesday night, when upper lighting rails of a metal structure collapsed during the construction process. One of the workers suffered a broken leg while the other two were treated and released at the hospital.
Chichen Itza is the site of 1,200-year-old Mayan ruins, and was not damaged in the incident; the venue was named one of the “New Seven Wonders of the World” in 2007. - LADY
