Ray Charles Musical Coming In The Fall

If you loved the movie Ray as much as I did, this will get you giddy. A musical depicting the life of Ray Charles is coming to the magic of Broadway. Opening in fall 2010, ‘Unchain My Heart’ will be directed by Sheldon Epps and features a book by Suzan-Lori Parks, who won a Pulitzer Prize for ‘Topdog/Underdog.’ Broadway.com reports that the musical is set during Charles’ last recording session, and will feature such hits as ‘Georgia on My Mind,’ ‘What’d I Say,’ ‘Mess Around,’ ‘Hit the Road, Jack,’ and more.
