Jennifer Lopez splits with Sony Music/Epic Records

Jennifer Lopez is allegedly no longer being looked after by Sony Music/Epic Records. Thank god!  It’s unclear as to if it was an amicable split or not, but I think JLO may be better off doing this solo without a record label to screw it all up.

According to manager Benny Medina, JLO was not dropped.

“Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music group,” manager Benny Medina wrote in an Email to Finke. “They have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction her career as an actress and recording artist. She is grateful and appreciative to everyone Sony for all that they accomplished together.” via Examiner

I think Lola is better off by her self with her own team and not a bunch of pencil pushes at the record label. Her upcoming album Love? has been shelved for now. – LADY
